Overview & Scope

Welcome to the official Privacy Policy for ACP DcOps ("ACP DcOps App", "we", "us", or "our"). This policy details how we handle, process, and protect data center operational telemetry, facility access verification, asset maintenance logs, and personnel credentials across our mobile and desktop platforms.

ACP DcOps is an enterprise-grade Data Center Operations management solution utilized by site reliability engineers, data center technicians, and facility infrastructure managers. By signing in or operating ACP DcOps, you agree to the security standards and processing guidelines outlined below.

Notice for Data Center Personnel: ACP DcOps is designed specifically for enterprise infrastructure environments. Personal device content is strictly segregated from work order and facility telemetry.

Data We Collect

To support high-availability data center operations, server rack deployment, and secure facility access, ACP DcOps collects the following data types:

  • Technician & User Credentials: Full name, employee badge ID, organizational email, SSO security tokens, and assigned facility access clearances.
  • Data Center Geo-Location & Facility Geofencing: GPS coordinates and Bluetooth beacon proximity collected during active duty shifts for automated gate check-ins and cage access authorization.
  • Asset & Rack Inspection Data: High-resolution photos taken during rack cabling, server diagnostics, QR/barcode scans of hardware serial numbers, and maintenance audit logs.
  • System Telemetry & Device Health: Device model, operating system build, network latency, app crash stack traces, and local secure storage status.

ACP DcOps does not access personal contacts, personal photo libraries, browser histories, or non-work applications installed on your mobile device.

App Permissions & Justifications

The ACP DcOps app requests system permissions necessary to operate secure data center access features. Each permission is requested dynamically in accordance with least-privilege security principles:

ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION Location Enables facility geofencing, automated rack cage unlocking, and safety check-ins during data center maintenance shifts.
CAMERA Hardware Scans hardware asset QR/barcodes, rack PDU badges, and captures visual verification of cable installations.
BLUETOOTH_CONNECT Connectivity Communicates with secure data center cage beacons and environment telemetry sensors.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS System Delivers critical incident alerts, environmental thermal warnings, and high-priority dispatch assignments.
Managing Permissions: You can grant or revoke permissions at any time via your device settings. Note that disabling Fine Location or Bluetooth may prevent automated cage access or beacon proximity features from operating.

Purpose of Data Processing

All data processed by ACP DcOps serves specific, audited data center operational functions:

  • Automating work order dispatch and technician routing across server halls and data center facilities.
  • Maintaining immutable audit logs for enterprise security compliance audits.
  • Verifying physical identity and access authorization before granting server rack or cage access.
  • Optimizing app responsiveness, diagnosing hardware scanning errors, and resolving network disconnects.

Storage & Security Architecture

Data security is core to the ACP DcOps engineering philosophy:

All telemetry and communication channels utilize TLS 1.3 encryption with strict cipher suite enforcement. Local device data, work order caches, and security tokens are stored within hardware-backed security enclaves encrypted using AES-256-GCM keys.

Backend services operate in tier-4 data centers featuring physical security perimeters, multi-factor biometric authentication, continuous vulnerability scans, and strict Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).

Third-Party Data Sharing

We restrict data sharing exclusively to authorized enterprise operational channels:

  • Employer & Infrastructure Portals: Integration with your organization’s Central Data Center Management System (DCIM).
  • Certified Infrastructure Partners: Cloud hosting infrastructure (e.g., AWS / Google Cloud) under legally binding enterprise Data Processing Agreements (DPAs).
  • Legal & Regulatory Mandates: When legally mandated by judicial court orders or federal data security directives.

We maintain a strict policy: ACP DcOps does NOT sell, rent, or commercialize any user or operational data to third parties.

Technician & User Rights

Under applicable privacy and data protection laws, users of ACP DcOps possess the following rights:

  • Right of Access & Inspection: Request an export file of all recorded duty logs, profile information, and access audit records.
  • Right to Rectification: Request corrections to erroneous badge numbers, account details, or dispatch records.
  • Right to Erasure: Request full purging of personal profile data following employee offboarding.
  • Right to Restrict Processing: Request limits on optional diagnostic and telemetry data logging.

Data Retention Policy

Operational data is retained strictly in accordance with enterprise audit standards:

Facility access logs and work order completion records are archived for mandatory compliance auditing (typically 365 days) before automatic deletion routines execute. Offboarded technician accounts are soft-deleted immediately and permanently purged after 90 days.

Policy Updates

ACP DcOps continuously evolves to meet emerging cybersecurity standards. When changes are made to this Privacy Policy, users will receive an in-app update notification requiring review prior to starting new maintenance shifts.
